Hi guys! I know a lot of you are thinking "how the fuck did she get to the end?", "what has she done in this game?" and "what impact has Topaz had?" so I'll explain from the beginning..
I knew very early on that I was useless in the challenges, it doesn't take a genius to work that out so I knew that I had to rely on my social game and strategy to get me through this game. Don't get me wrong, I did expect to win at least one challenge but hey ho.
This game began and within the first couple of weeks I created an alliance with the people I felt most comfortable with and the people I was closest to in the game, those being Angie, Alex, Cody and Jee. That worked great for me because Angie and Jee then won back to back HoH's meaning I was completely safe for those weeks and didn't have to worry about a thing.
The following week didn't go so great when Roddy won HoH because I'd already been told by Alex that Roddy was thinking about nominating me should he win. So I went to plead my case to Roddy and made a deal that I would keep him safe when I won (he's still waiting for that win now
) so that got me another week of safety.
Keesha's reign was next and we had a good relationship but never spoke strategy until this round. This was when I started working with Keesha without my other alliance knowing. It was at this time too that I solidified my alliance with Kaitlin as we had a good relationship but had never solidified an alliance which we eventually did that round. That turned into a 4 person alliance of myself, Kenny, Kaitlin & Keesha whilst I was in another alliance with Cody, Angie & Alex.
So we were at the final 10 stage in this game and I had an alliance with 7 out of the remaining 9 players. I had one with Brendon too so it was only Sabrina & Roddy I didn't have an alliance with. I was aligned with pretty much everyone and I got away with it because I'm here to tell the tale! I played every side possible I won't lie about that but it's got me to this stage. But even when Sabrina and Roddy (the 2 people I weren't aligned with) won HoH, I still managed to stay safe by making deals or because they felt they had a better relationship with me than perhaps others which I feel proves that I did have a very good social game too.
I did lie to people, I did go back on promises I made to people and I did tell the people in power exactly what they wanted to hear at ALL times despite me then going back on that when it was beneficial to me. For example the round Keesha was evicted, prior to the veto comp I told her I would do all I could to keep her safe and I wanted to sit at the end with her but when she didn't win veto I went back on it and evicted her because she was such a huge threat. I had said that incase she won veto and stayed. That same round I'd promised Sabrina I would use the veto on her if I won as a 'thank you' for keeping me safe in the past and to prove I wanted to work with her which was beneficial as she stayed that round and ultimately brought me to the end. I covered all of my bases but I did it behind the scenes without others realising.
I think the fact there have been 10 nomination ceremonies in this game and I have received a key in EVERY single ceremony proves that I have been playing this game and I weren't just here for the ride. You don't just get lucky and manage to dodge a bullet at 10 nomination ceremonies especially when I was vulnerable each time because I never had HoH or HND power protecting me.
Also, I know Sabrina is amazing in comps and she is a beast! But there are 3 main aspects to this game I believe; competitions, strategy and social game. Now although she kicked my arse then spat in my face in the competitions, I feel I beat her on the other two fronts but I guess you lot are the judge of that!
Finally I just want you all to know that the relationships I built with you all were completely genuine and all of the times I'd speak to you unrelated to the game, that was 100% genuine too and I've loved getting to know yas! As I've said above I made false promises, told lies and went back on things but the relationships were completely genuine I can assure you of that. Ultimately I did what I had to do to get me to this point. Also, the fact that I evicted every member of the jury (apart from Cody and Kaitlin because I couldn't vote) proves that I was completely in tune with what was going on in this game and I weren't just silly ole Topaz despite how I might have came across and acted.
